Exciting Update: Introduction of Pay and Play System for Non-Members

Dear Squash Members,

We hope this message finds you well. We are excited to announce the introduction of a new Pay and Play system, specifically designed for non-members. This initiative aims to make our facilities more accessible and to attract new players to our squash community.

What is Pay and Play?

The Pay and Play system allows non-members to book and pay for court time on an as-needed basis. This system is perfect for those who are new to squash or prefer not to commit to a full membership. Pay and Play court bookings will be available at a rate of £11 per booking, which is higher than the rates available to our members. Pay and Play users will be able to book 7 days in advance compared to the current 14 days for members.

Trial Basis Until Year-End:

Please note that this Pay and Play system is being introduced on a trial basis until the end of the year. During this period, we will assess its impact and gather feedback to determine if it will become a permanent option.

Security and Court Maintenance:

We understand that security and the condition of our courts are top priorities. To address these concerns:

Security : We are actively looking into increasing the amount of CCTV around the club to alleviate any security concerns and ensure a safe environment for all members and guests.

Court Maintenance: Regular inspections of the courts will be conducted to maintain them to the highest standards. Any damage or misuse will be addressed promptly.

Additional Bar Charge for Non-Members:

We are also actively pursuing an additional charge for non-members at our bar. This means members will continue to enjoy the very best prices on drinks and snacks, reinforcing the value of your membership.

Why Implement Pay and Play?

The introduction of the Pay and Play system is part of our strategy to tap into an additional revenue source. By attracting non-members who may eventually consider full membership, we aim to diversify our income streams and help keep membership costs down for all our current members.

Benefits for Members:

We understand that our members are the heart of our community, and we want to reassure you that these new systems are designed to complement, not replace, our existing membership structure. As members, you will continue to enjoy all the benefits of your membership, including priority booking, reduced fee access to club nights and courses, access to internal leagues, and the best prices at the bar.

Encouraging New Players:

By offering a Pay and Play option and maintaining exclusive bar pricing for members, we hope to attract new players who may eventually decide to join as full members, enriching our community and providing more opportunities for everyone to enjoy the sport.

We are committed to providing you with the best possible experience and believe that these additions will bring new energy and excitement to our club.

If you have any questions or need further information about the new Pay and Play system or the bar pricing changes, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your continued support.

Best regards,

Sutton Squash Club Committee
