Sauna Operational Notice: Guidelines for use.

Dear Members,

As you may know, the sauna has reopened again. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time of closure. The closure was due to an incident where a ladle was left on the coals, which could have caused serious safety issues.

To ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment, we have established the following rules for sauna use:

  1. Personal Belongings: Please ensure all personal items, including robes and towels, are removed from the sauna after use. Do not leave anything, especially combustible materials, on or near the heater or coals.
  2. Handling Equipment: Use the provided ladles and other equipment carefully. After adding water to the stones, place the ladle back in its designated holder away from the heating elements and not near the coals.
  3. Time Limits: Please be mindful of your time in the sauna. We recommend limiting sessions to 15-20 minutes to prevent overheating and to allow others to enjoy the facilities.
  4. Hydration: Stay hydrated by drinking water before and after your sauna session. Avoid consuming alcohol or other dehydrating substances prior to using the sauna.

Please respect these guidelines and report any issues to the committee immediately. Your cooperation is crucial in maintaining a safe environment for everyone.

Thank you for your attention, and we hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Thanks,

Sutton Squash Club Committee
