Aston & Fincher Sutton Coldfield International 2023.

Dear everyone,

It has been some time since the conclusion of our 8th PSA Sutton Coldfield International Event at the club for the Men and the 3rd for the Women. For those of you who were at the club, you'll agree that it was a week filled with vibrant activity.

We had two exceptional winners, both hailing from Egypt. Mohamad Zakaria emerged victorious in the Men's Event. We can all attest to his brilliance and acknowledge that he is a promising talent destined for significant achievements. Stuart MacGregor from England put up a strong fight, particularly in the first game, but ultimately couldn't match Mohamad's accuracy and strategic play.

On the Women's side, we also celebrated an Egyptian winner, as unseeded Nour Megahed triumphed over Scotland's Alison Thomson. Congratulations to both deserving champions.

I extend a big thank you to the tournament sponsors, Aston & Fincher, and Fig & Olive. Special gratitude to Oli Fincher and Jason Smith for their invaluable support in making this event possible.

A second expression of thanks goes to Jason for providing assistance with the loan of an industrial vacuum cleaner. We faced some challenges during the week, particularly with the flooring of Court 6, and having the support of our members, like Jason, is truly appreciated.

Lastly, a final thank you to the dedicated team of helpers who contributed to the smooth organization of the event leading up to it. Collaborating with Chris Hall, who I believe orchestrated a fantastic tournament, ensured an enjoyable experience for both players and supporters.
