Sutton Coldfield Squash Club May Newsletter

Sutton Coldfield Squash Club May Newsletter

It has been a busy month at the club with lots of events taking place and lots coming up to look forward too as we approach the summer months.

As we have approached renewals this year, we have seen new members join and old members leave the club due to various life events/injuries. If you know of anyone looking to join the club and get involved, then please get in touch with our membership secretary Graham Partridge.

Events:

Squash Summer Ball

As we approach the summer, we have the Squash Summer Ball coming up. Manuela and her team have been busy getting this event ready. The theme will be a Caribbean style theme. The start time is 7pm and we aim to be seated by 8pm for a feast. Make sure you dress to impress! The cost is £35pp. Bookings to be made by 31 May via your MyCourts Squash Club Account via the courses page. (Friends welcome, Contact a member if you are not registered).

We are already halfway to capacity so get those tickets snapped up if you plan to join for a great evening!

Fundraising from members

A number of our squash and tennis members completed the St. Basils canal cycle challenger this weekend to raise money for St Basils who support young homeless 16 to 25 year olds.

Well done to Martin Clarke, Ian Hickling, John Stanway, Ian Pallet, Paul Coates & Ben Barker who took part.

Just £5 gives a young person a bed for the night.

Club Championship Results

A big massive well done to everyone who took part in the Squash Club Championships. This was the first time we’ve managed the entry process via Mycourts and we think it was a success with more entries coming in than previous years.
