Dear Squash Club Members,
As the club chairman, I want to extend a thank you to each of you for your incredible support during this year's Club Championships. Your participation made the event a true success, and the summer party was a fantastic way to celebrate together. I'm thrilled to share that our bar takings were the third highest for a Saturday this year, with over £2,000 in revenue. In fact, the past two weeks have been particularly positive, with the bar bringing in more than £5,000 on both weeks. Your continued support of the club and bar is greatly appreciated.
I would also like to express a thank you to Chris Hall for his organisation and management of the Club Championships. His hard work and dedication ensured the event ran smoothly and was enjoyable for all participants. A big thank you as well to Pete Oddy, Adam Langton, Martin Clarke, and Manuela Alpaton for their invaluable help with various aspects of the summer party. Your efforts contributed greatly to its success. Additionally, a special thanks to the Pop Doctors for their brilliant entertainment as the live band at the summer party – they provided great entertainment.
I want to highlight some ongoing efforts as part of the B&H committee to improve our communication. In terms of the squash club, the recently formed Internal Squash League, which concludes on the 4th of July, has been very well received by members. I hope you’ve enjoyed participating. We are also planning to organise a similar league for racketball players within the club, so keep an eye out for more information on this.
